I have installed and reinstalled cant get it to work more than a few minutes without locking down ctrl-alt-delete dose nothing along with control c omly the power button works i am running mint cinimam 21.3. 4g of ram on an old dell xp1530 any help would be appreciated

I know where are various issues with GTK bugs:

If nothing there helps, open an issue there. Or maybe it's not even an SWT problem but some other problem which you could report here:

Provide enough details such as what type of window manager and which version of GTK.
