I attempted the installation twice, first with the 64-bit version and then with the 32-bit version. When it came to extracting the files, my laptop utilized 7zip for the process, but it didn't appear to extract any program. In a previous attempt, I somehow managed to install Eclipse on my laptop. However, I encountered an error stating, "The Eclipse execution launcher was unable to locate its companion shared library." This is the reason I'm reinstalling, as I faced installation difficulties in the past.

I assume you're using Windows because you're using the ZIP file. The easiest way to install is just to use 7-Zip to extract the ZIP (e.g. via the right-click menu). Then just move the extracted directory to where you want it.

There is also the possibility to use the Eclipse installer as described on https://www.eclipse.org/downloads/packages/ . This way of installing is especially useful if you actually want to install multiple copies of Eclipse.
