Hi everyone, this is my first post in this forum and I would like to know if someone can help me.
I am simulating a truck stopping on a specific position and I would like the cars behind it to drive on the opposite direction lane to overtake the truck. I am making the truck stop through a Python script with the TraCI module. Right now the first vehicle approaching the truck breaks, the second overtakes, the third one breaks, the fourth overtakes, the fifth breaks, and so on.
Why are the vehicles breaking and not driving on the opposite direction?
I have already set the opposite direction driving parameter in netedit for the necessary lanes. I have also made a demand file to make sure the opposite direction lane is empty.
I attach the files for the model and a screenshot of the second vehicle overtaking the truck while the first one just waits behind .
