Terminal view not displaying commands entered [message #1861136] Fri, 22 September 2023 06:08 Go to next message

Hi, I have troubles with the terminal view, I've never used it but I thought it would be better than using several iTerm instances outside of Eclipse.

The terminal view doesn't show the characters typed into it. As you type text in the terminal, you should be able to see it.

I use MacOs (Ventura) and Eclipse for Java developers Version 2023-09 (4.29.0). I don't know if it can be the cause but I use oh-my-zsh.

You can find a screenshot attached to this post showing the terminal which displays the result of the command but not the command typed itself.

The issue you're experiencing with the Eclipse terminal not displaying typed characters is indeed related to your use of the oh-my-zsh configuration. Oh-my-zsh is a popular Zsh configuration framework that enhances the functionality of the standard Zsh shell.
