I recently installed Eclipse Indigo at: (https://www.eclipse.org/downloads/packages/release/indigo/sr2/eclipse-ide-java-ee-developers) for a legacy application. But I am not able to connect to the marketplace to install plugins. Is there any suggestion?

Likely markteplace.eclipse.org redirects automatically to https and you old Java runtime doesn't appear to be able to handle the new modern certificate of that host.

As as workaround, if you locate the listing in a web browser, e.g.,

https://marketplace.eclipse.org/content/java-20-support-eclipse-2023-03-427

you can append /api/p to it

https://marketplace.eclipse.org/content/java-20-support-eclipse-2023-03-427/api/p

That will show you the updateurl that you can copy and paste into Help -> Install New Software to install things from that site.

Hi Merks,
Thanks for the reply,
I was trying to install Egit plugin: https://download.eclipse.org/egit/updates And there was no /api/p for it, is there any other workaround?

Note:
I was initially trying to install indigo plugins in eclipse indigo, and it was throwing this error:

Are you within a firewall that might be blocking access?

You can use a URI like this to browse the raw contents of the download.eclipse.org server:

https://download.eclipse.org/justj/?file=

E.g.,

https://download.eclipse.org/justj/?file=releases/indigo

There is a repository at that location, but it's a composite that reference other repositories, e.g.,

https://download.eclipse.org/justj/?file=releases/indigo/201202240900

So you might try https://download.eclipse.org/releases/indigo/201202240900/ or http://download.eclipse.org/releases/indigo/201202240900/ with and without https.

I don't think it's the firewall, as I am able to access this
https://download.eclipse.org/justj/?file=releases/indigo/201202240900 from both the browser and the eclipse browser. I have attached an image of it.

I've offered all the advice that I have. If both https://download.eclipse.org/releases/indigo/201202240900/ and http://download.eclipse.org/releases/indigo/201202240900/ don't work then it's not going to work.
