I've been using 2022-12 for a while, and running into occasional issues, but it's mostly been working for me.
A couple of days ago, I noticed that the "Quick Switch Editor" action seems to do nothing. It doesn't completely ignore it. If I move the text cursor to another line and press that key sequence (Ctrl+e), the vertical blue focus bar moves to the new line, but no menu appears.
I use the Emacs+ plugin, so I can directly execute actions, and when I do that, it just says "Failed". There is nothing seemingly significant in the error log.
I still have a working 2022-06 installation that I seem to still use a lot when 2022-12 gets weird (I had a weird Maven Update deadlock a couple of days ago that sent me back to this for a while), and Quick Switch Editor still works fine there.
I then thought to check whether it's the installation or the workspace, so I created a new 2022-12 workspace, imported the same preferences, imported one of my many git repositories, opened a file and then tested Quick Switch Editor. It works fine.
I then realized that the preferences I had imported in the new workspace were preferences that I had saved back in December. So, I exited Eclipse, restarted the old 2022-12 workspace, saved my preferences, exited Eclipse, reopened the new workspace, reimported the new preferences, restarted Eclipse, and now Quick Switch Editor no longer works.
So something in my recently changed preferences is related to this.
I had filed this ticket about this problem: https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=581464 .
