Any way to get SUMO bi-directional lanes for Taxi [message #1855643] Tue, 25 October 2022 11:19

Hello,

is their any bi-directional lane implemented in SUMO ... ?

- 1 - for Vehicles (I think No)
- 2 - for Taxis (I think No)
- 3 - for Trains (I think Yes)

I would have to model sort of bi-directional lanes for Taxis (with passengers or simple vehicles), in fact the Taxi could get blocked on a single direction lane edge and then would need to go backward to get a new route.

I'm using Traci, What would be the best approach or workaround?

I've already started investigating the traci.vehicle.moveToXY() to replace the vehicle at positions backward in time, but is their any better way ?

Thanks all

Br,

OP.
