Papyrus on Linux (Manjaro) [message #1854311] Fri, 12 August 2022 10:53 Go to next message

Hello,

I am new to Papyrus, and I have been able to successfully use it on my Windows laptop; however, I am struggling with my Linux laptop running Manjaro. I have successfully installed Eclipse and Papyrus; however, I cannot get Papyrus to show up as a perspective. I have found references to installing both Papyrus and EMF, but there doesn't seem to be much after that. Every reference says that I should be able to see Papyrus in the drop down of perspectives, but it is not there for me. Any ideas? I appreciate your help in advance.

Installation is the very same procedure for Windows and Linux. OK, it is slightly different on Mac OS.
Maybe you better get the Papyrus RCP for Linux, unpack it and run the executable.

I appreciate the feedback, and I did install it the same way as I did Windows. Maybe I'll try it again from a fresh install and use the Papyrus RCP as a backup solution. Thank you.

Hello,

I have just test Papyrus installed on Eclipse 2022 06 via the Help > Install New Software > 2022-06 - https://download.eclipse.org/releases/2022-06/ > Papyrus and it works on Ubuntu x86 (I get the Papyrus Perspective).

I think that you can't install and run x86 native project on ARM

Best Regards,

Asma
