I am looking to see if there is any facility to duplicate the content of a branch (would be at create time here).

If not are there any examples that rely on CDO specific code or would it be best just to use the EMF copy functions.

I forgot to ask why you want to create a branch with the same content as another one.
Couldn't you just create a branch at the head of that other branch?
