I get it, folders are implied entities from the git's POV. But they can get in the way during development and I can't easily find them using EGit. I was hoping they would show in the Synchronize view as they do for some other team providers but no dice. What's worse is you can choose "overwrite" for an unmanaged folder with files from the Synchronize view which will delete all the files in it but not the folder itself, however the net effect the folder disappears from the Sync view but it's not deleted from the filesystem, I find this is uber confusing. Yes I know I can use git command-line to get this information, but I'd rather avoid a context switch.
