I recently ran into this issue An Internal error occurred during" C/C++ indexer when using Eclipse with the Espressif ESP32 plugin. The problem seemed to crop up out of nowhere. It took multiple removals/installations of eclipse + plugins to make it go away. I am not sure why this issue started in the first place and not sure why it took uninstalling and re-installing Eclipse + ESP32 plugin multiple times to "fix" the problem.
