JDT update policy [message #1847145] Fri, 15 October 2021 15:17 Go to next message

My development team is testing/upgrading eclipse to 2021-09. We found a blocking issue that is fixed in JDT Core master branch: https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=576093

Are these fixes usually cherry picked to released versions, or does this mean that we can't upgrade until 2021-12 releases?

Thanks.

The bug would be the place to ask, but I see you did that.

No, there are no general maintenance releases anymore, so you should expect to find the fix only in the current development stream's builds. E.g., these update sites:

https://download.eclipse.org/eclipse/updates/4.22-I-builds
https://download.eclipse.org/releases/2021-12

Or as downloads from here:

https://www.eclipse.org/downloads/packages/release/2021-12/

2021-12 is currently at M1 (milestone 1).

Here's the schedule:
