I just installed Eclipse EASE via the Marketplace client, and "About Eclipse"
says its installed.

But I can't find any of the views - and there is no "Run As/EASE Script" available!

If i list the bundles in the OSGI Host Console using "ss ease" - no bundles are shown. This is quite confusing!

HI Marco,

did not try yet with 2021-09 runtime. 2021-06 works fine and typically we do not have a lot of volatile dependencies to core packages.
In case the install did not work you should have seen some error message. Will check EOF this week and report back in case I find any issues.
Just in case you might try our nightly p2 repo, too. Find the relevant links here: https://www.eclipse.org/ease/download/

Updated the dev target platform to 2021-09 and nightly builds work as expected.
Further I got a fresh 2021-09 release and installed EASE from the Marketplace without problems. Only thing I did not test is to downgrade to java 11. Locally I used java 15.0.2 but in case it were a Java issue, you should see some entries in yoru workspace/.metadata/.log file.

Hy Christian,

just installed using a fresh downloaded Bundle and via Marketplace and it works.

Normally I install Eclipse using the Eclipse installer, and the resp. contributions do not appear there. I will have to try again whether this appears just for this one instance
of mine, or whether this behaviour is repeatable.

Summing it up for me currently:

Fresh downloaded Eclipse bundle + EASA via Marketplace = OK
Eclipse installer installed Eclipse bundle + EASE via Marketplace = NOT OK (but no errors on install shown)

I did use the eclipse installer, installed Eclipse for Committers and then used the marketplace client. Worked fine for me. Still think that probably something got wrong that time you tried and that this is not a systematic error.
