Find/Replace dialog focus behavior [message #1844592] |

I always enable "focus follows mouse (pointer)" mode whenever possible, on whatever platform I'm on. I don't know if that is the reason for the IDE's Find/Replace dialog behavior, but it's somewhat annoying.
If the Find/Replace dialog is not visible when I hit Ctrl+F, things work as I expect. The F/R dialog receives focus, and I can immediately start typing in the "Find" input field.
If the Find/Replace dialog is already visible when I hit Ctrl+F, it does not receive focus. I don't know where the typed text goes when this happens, but it doesn't end up in the F/R dialog and it doesn't end up in the main text editor window.
It'd be nice if the F/R dialog was somehow dockable, or at least tried to grab focus when activated. Maybe this is possible already, if so, can someome please tell me how to make the Find/Replace dialog dockable :-)
