Silent Installation & Version Management With Microsoft Intune (Endpoint Manger) [message #1844508] Wed, 15 September 2021 11:15 Go to next message

Hello! Your friendly neighborhood IT guy here. I have been tasked with installation and version management of Eclipse IDE For Java developers and would like to do so via Intune.

I have found the executable installer version that includes JRE, but don't see any options for silent installation, default options etc.

This leads to the question. Is there an option for silent installation? Also is there a .msi installer version?

Thanks!

No, there is no .msi-based installer.

Looks like that was last updated in 2018. Am I safe to assume this isn't a priority and should look for a workaround?

"Priority" is relative term. What's the cost of a "workaround" versus the cost of a "solution"? I think that n workarounds == 1 solution. But if each user with a problem is not willing to invest in one solution, then each user must invest in their own solution and then there is no priority to have common solution.
