Hi all,

I want to write some Higher Order Transformations (HOTs), and for that I would need a mapping that details the correspondences between the two metamodels. I know that it is possible to create this mapping metamodel using Ecore, but I am not quite sure how. Do you have any experience on how this can be achieved, or some examples to begin with?

Many thanks!

Hi

That is pretty much exactly what QVT does with its trace model. The QVTo one is unspecified, the QVTc/QVTr is auto-created as part of the transformation compilation. You can of course define your own mapping, but unless your requirements are pretty trivial you will find that you end up developing yet another M2M language.
