I have just downloaded Eclipse 2021-06 from the installer. When I try typing out the code, I get horrible rendering lag when typing parenthesis (), square brackets [], angled brackets <> and curly brackets {}. When typing these one of the sides, the screen usually lags for about a second then what I type would be render. Sometimes what I type would render as the symbol that cause the lag for a few seconds. For example: { abc -> {{{{ for a few seconds then turn back into { abc.

At first I think it was the bracket auto complete running slow, so I tried turning it off, and it became a lot less laggy but still unusable.

I also have the old Eclipse Photon and that works fine but the new version got problem. I have also been using older eclipse and none of them ever have this problem. Is there a way to fix or do I have to revert to using old version of eclipse?

OS: Mac OS 10.14.6
RAM: 64 GB (I tried increasing the RAM limit in eclipse.ini and still didn't help)
