I'm trying to use the CDT code formatter from the command line:

eclipse.exe -nosplash -application org.eclipse.cdt.core.CodeFormatter -help

But I'm getting a
org.osgi.framework.BundleException: Exception in org.eclipse.cdt.core.CCorePlugin.start() of bundle org.eclipse.cdt.core.
exception.

Is there a way to call the formatter from the command line?

Many thanks!!!

Remove -Dosgi.dataAreaRequiresExplicitInit=true from your eclipse.ini
