Changing IN-CSE user and password [message #1838945] Wed, 10 March 2021 04:36 Go to next message
Eclipse UserFriend
Hello! I was wondering if it's possible to change the admin user and password that is used when logging on OM2M's IN-CSE web interface (http://127.0.0.1:8080/webpage/) and when issuing any commands through HTTP ("X-M2M-Origin": "admin:admin").

I tried changing the following line in config.ini, but OM2M only accepts "admin:admin" even after changing said line:

org.eclipse.om2m.adminRequestingEntity=admin\:admin

Any help is very appreciated!

Hello,

The file to be modified is the "om2m.product", property "org.eclipse.om2m.adminRequestingEntity".
The file config.ini is generated from this file, it cannot be modified once created.

Oh I see! Does this mean that the user and password are defined in compilation time, and changing them would require recompiling IN-CSE?

Sorry for late reply, I guess you found the answer by now...
But yes, changing the user / password (or any property defined in the om2m.product file) requires a re-build of the org.eclipse.om2m.site.<asn/in/mn>-cse component (not a rebuild of the whole platform).
