Hi, guys so I'm doing my thesis on disease spread and am using STEM to model this. One of my countries of choosing is Cuba. Unfortunately, STEM doesn't have models or graphs for Cuba for level 1, only level 0.

I tried adding a shapefile however once added I don't know how to make my infector start from a point in my graph as it doesn't appear on the list, I'm guessing I have to link it to the existing Cuba data? How can I make this possible or is there any other way I can add level 1 data for Cuba. I'm still very much a beginner so any help would be extremely useful

many thanks :)

Hi Carlos,
I'm sorry you are having trouble. If you go to your graphs folder to see the graph you created for cuba, double click it to open it in the resource set, expand it, and then click on each of the nodes, you should then be able to see (in the property view tab below) the UID for the nodes in the generated graph. This is the ID you need to specify in the infector - not the level 0 id for STEM's map of Cuba.

In principle, when you create an infector, you should be able to specify that STEM should show the ids for graphs in your project. I would have expected that dialog to show you the id's you find by the process above. If that is not the case you may have found a new bug. If you'd like to create a bug, zip up your project, and attach the archive to the bug we can take a look. However if you can find the id as outlined above everything should work for your project even if there is a bug.

Cheers

Thank you so much for the response it really helped. I was also wondering is there a way to know how many new cases for a certain disease are occurring per day? I'm using the cvs logger which gives me the total amount at one given period but is there a way to view or log the individual number of infections per day?
Many thanks,
Carlos
