Reused sub-node mapping elements in a container import disappear when layer is deactivated [message #1838563] Mon, 01 March 2021 08:19 Go to next message

In layer LayerA, I have defined a container mapping ContainerA with a sub node mapping SubNodeA inside it.

I have imported ContainerA in LayerB and have put the SubNodeA inside the "Reused Node Mappings" list of the import.

In the last paragraph of the following documentation it is mentioned that if a layer reuses elements from another layer and that layer is inactive, the reused elements would still be active.

However, that is not the case for me and the objects of type that is represented by SubNodeA disappear as soon as LayerA is deactivated. Do you have any hints to what might be wrong?

Hello,

Indeed there seems to be a bug here. I reproduced the same issue. In fact, you should not even need to add the SubNodeMappingA in "Reused Node Mappings", if your ContainerMappingImport feature "Hide Sub Mappings"[1] is unchecked.
Can you file a new bugzilla about this issue?

Best regards,
Steve
