Please Google 'Linux screen shot'. There are many ways to do it, depending on your distribution and the tools you have installed.

You can paste the clipboard to an image-processing program, e.g. gimp, and save the result as an image file, preferably PNG or JPEG.

Attached is a screen shot of my Kubuntu 20.40LTS screen. I resampled it a bit to save file size (gimp can do it). The image was captured with the PrtSc key and then saved as a file from the dialog KDE offered.

Not directly. Put it in a file then upload the file.

Save it as a .png then upload the .png
A .png (and maybe .jpeg) can be inserted directly.
Anything else (particularly an image embedded in doc or spreadsheets) requires additional action to view.

Note:
Try to keep inserted images a reasonable size.
Especially, don't insert large images such as full-sized desktop images.
