I am placing this inquiry here because there is apparently no topic set up for the plugin I am discussing here. If there is a more appropriate place for this, someone please let me know.

I have installed the latest Eclipse on Windows (2020-12). I have also installed the JHipster plugin.

Unfortunately, when I attempt to create a JHipster project, I get the following failure message:

Problem opening wizard
The selected wizard could not be stared

Details of the failure is below:

The selected wizard could not be started.
org/eclipse/lsp4j/Range (occurred in io.github.jhipster.jdl.ui.JDLExecutableExtensionFactory)
org/eclipse/lsp4j/Range

Not only am I getting failures when attempting to create jhipster projects, If I go to Window->Preferences and attempt to configure any of the JHipster IDE preferences, I get the following failure:

An error has occurred when creating this preference page.

Details of the failure:

Unable to create the selected preference page.
org/eclipse/lsp4j/Range

I did try reinstalling JHipster, then reinstalling Eclipse and JHipster. The failures are quite consistent.

It appears that the JHipster IDE plugin is unusable. Is there something I am missing that would make it usable? If not, where do I report the bug?

Hi

Check whether org.eclipse.lsp4j is installed and if not install it from the standard Install New Software. Possibly JHipster is parasitic on someone else's install.

Thanks for the info, but I have been trying to find Isp4j for Eclipse, and cannot find it.

Do you know where I can get it?

same issue with Spring's STS 4.12 and Eclipse 2021-09 JEE package (see the 1st stacktrace below).
I believe that some dependencies are broken.

I've tried to re-install the last version of lsp4j without success... (see the 2nd stacktrace below)

I reverted my Eclipse to the previous version ECLIPSE 2021-06 and the JDL JHipster's plugin 2.4.0 works well
