Can someone tell me the difference between RC1, M1,M2,M3 release packages? [message #1835613] Tue, 08 December 2020 15:51 Go to next message

I am trying to understand the difference between these packages and what M1, M2, and M3 mean. I understand RC1 means Release Candidate 1, but not sure about the others.

Thanks,
Mark

M1 to M3 are intermediary milestones. Development from one release to the next goes like

2020-09 -> 2020-12 M1 -> 2020-12 M2 -> 2020-12 M3 -> 2020-12 RC1 -> 2020-12 RC2, and normally RC2 then becomes the final 2020-12 R (release).
