Hi All,
I'm new to Java FX.
The setup is:
Windows 10 20H2 build(19042.630)
Eclipse 2020-09 (4.17.0)
Java 15.0.1
e(fx)clipse 2.4.0.201605112122
I'm following a tutorial on tutorialkart.com javafx install-javafx-in-eclipse-ide
The steps are
1: Help | Install new software
2: select http://download.eclipse.org/releases/neon
3: find e(fx)clipse -IDE
4. Review the items and Accept the license agreement
5. Restart Eclipse
Now an error appears:
Your are not running your eclipse instance with Java8. The JavaFX tooling is disabled because of this. Make Java8 the default system or adjust your eclipse.ini to pass -vm pointing to your Java8 install.
In case you want to turn off this check open your preferences and go to General > Startup and Shutdown and uncheck 'JavaFX Tooling Java Check'
I do not really understand.
- Have I made an error on installing/configuring?
- Is JavaFX not suitable for versions of Java above 8? And if so is there an other frame work for building UI
regards
Edwin
