Dear fellow papyrus-users,

I would like to decompose certain actions with the help of separate activity diagrams, but unfortunately don't really know how. I read elsewhere in this forum that it is only possible to decompose a Call Behaviour Action, not an Opaque Action, so that's probably a start. But how do I allocate such an action to a separare action and activity diagram, including the pins?

Thanks a lot in advance!

Hi Sophie,
all uml::Action but the uml::StructuredActivityNode are implicitly atomic according to the UML 2.5.1 specification.

Hello Carsten,

I'm sorry, but I still don't understand how to create an activity representing an action. Could you detail your answer?

Greetings,
Sophie

Are you using UML or SysML. there is some difference in available elements(at least in pallete)...

I'm using SysML. Does it really make such a difference? I always assumed that the activity diagram in UML and SysML are practically identical.

I think @Carsten nows much better the difference Since i'm just learning SysML. I Asked some time ago about things what i missed in the activity diagram. The( default) action as in SysML spec was one of them.
Cartsen said something about it but is still not clear to me...

Hi, when I would like to decompose an activity, I use in fact callbehaviorAction that calls another activity. I use also input and output pin to reference parameter of the activity.
