found recently that Eclipse is not allowing MacBook pro to switch to integrated intel graphics which causes excessive battery usage as discrete graphics is consuming more battery.

Opened bug in the eclipse issues tracker but this issue didn't get any attention. https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=561977

Screenshot is attached.
Thanks

What were you expecting? Here are all the open SWT bugs:

https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/buglist.cgi?bug_status=UNCONFIRMED&bug_status=NEW&bug_status=ASSIGNED&bug_status=REOPENED&classification=Eclipse%20Project&component=SWT&list_id=19420662&product=Platform&query_format=advanced

It's hard to imagine that "it uses too much battery" will bounce immediately to the top of the list...

Well,
I understand but this issue makes Eclipse almost not usable in Mac laptops (when run on battery) and this issue is released just latest release. I guess many other will suffer from that issue as well.
