Hello,

I am currently working on an assignment for a business modelling course but i am stuck. I'm working in signavio and i get the warning that the parallel gateway circled in blue is a deadlock but i don't understand why. I'm new to BPMN and i tried researching on the internet but the only thing i could find was that a deadlock is caused when a process cannot be finished. However, I don't see how this is applicable to my model?

Could anybody explain to me why this is the case?

No I can also not see any problem in your BPMN model.
The only thing I can see is that you have a lot of parallel-gateways. This looks a little bit strange. Complaining about a deadlock can mean that the workflow engine behind your model can not process/execute your model. But this is an issue for the workflow engine you are executing your model. For example the Imixs-Workflow engine would not work with such a model.
