I am trying to create a report that is a series of multi-page documents (legal agreements). The data source is XML, and each record consists of several pages of HTML text, encapsulated in an XML CDATA field. Embedded in each HTML record are some image files inside an img src tag:
<img src="https://image_url_here" width="xx">
When I view the report natively in the viewer, and when viewing/exporting as HTML, the images appear as you would expect them to. But they do not appear at all when viewing/exporting as PDF. I've also tried embedding the images directly into the report design, and they still do not appear when viewing as PDF.
I am running BIRT Designer (version 4.8.0.v201806261756), on the Eclipse platform (version Photon 4.8, Build id: I20180611-0500).
Does anyone have any troubleshooting tips I can try to resolve this issue with image rendering in PDF?
