Thanks for looking into my thread.

I joined awhile ago. I am not sure, whether this is the correct place to this question.

I did review some videos for Eclipse/Pydev, that suggest to download Eclipse Platform for PyDev need.

I did not see Eclipse Platform in 2019-12 installer.

What is the Eclipse Platform equivalent in 2019-12 installer?

I installed Eclipse Version: 2019-12 (4.14.0), Build id: 20191212-1212.

The same videos shows the settiing up color themes for PyDev in older version of Eclipse .

I did not find that in above 2019-12 version. Where did it go in this version?

Are there any documentation/videos about working with Eclipse 2019-12?

Thanks for guidance.

Check the PyDev documentation:
https://www.pydev.org/manual_101_install.html

To install an Eclipse IDE use the Eclipse Installer or download your favorite Package. Select 'Eclipse Platform' in the Eclipse Installer if you want to start with a minimal version, and choose the Product Version you want to use (2019-12).

Thanks for weighing in. I did review download/installer. I find the following

Eclipse IDE for Enterprise Java Developers
Eclipse IDE for Java Developers
Eclipse IDE for C/C++ Developers
Eclipse IDE for Eclipse Committers
Eclipse IDE for PHP Developers
Eclipse IDE for Java and DSL Developers
Eclipse IDE for Web and JavaScript Developers (includes Incubating components)
Eclipse IDE for RCP and RAP Developers (includes incubating components)
Eclipse Modeling Tools
Eclipse IDE for Scientific Computing
Eclipse IDE for Rust Developers (includes Incubating components)
Eclipse IDE for Testers
Eclipse IDE for Scout Developers

Which of the above is Eclipse Platform (without any add on, so I can attach PyDev)?

Which of the above is Minimal version ?

Thanks for your guidance.

None of the above is the Eclipse Platform. My Eclipse Installer does include an Eclipse Platform entry.

Are you using the latest Installer? Are there updates available (use the hamburger menu in the top right)?

Thanks for your reply. This is the install file, I got from eclipse site.

eclipse-inst-win64

I used

https://www.eclipse.org/downloads/

It showed Get Eclipse IDE 2019‑12

Install your favorite desktop IDE packages.

I clicked DOWNLOAD 64 bit button to get the above.

Where did you get yours from ?

Thanks for your help.

The installers one downloads from the main site are configured/filtered to limit what is shown to the user in simple mode, i.e., they only offer the EPP packages as products and only the corresponding release version.

If you update the installer, the filtering is disabled. Also advanced mode (via the menu) shows all the products and lets you choose any of the versions. There is a minimal one that includes almost no features and is therefore useless unless you explicitly install something else interesting.

The installers from this page are unfiltered:
