I have just installed Eclipse IDE for Java Developers, Version: 2019-09 R (4.13.0), Build id: 20190917-1200. I have an issue with the editor when I type text into any type of text file (e.g., *.java, *.txt). As I type characters, the entire line I am editing will disappear (change to the background color) for a second or so. If I type at a normal speed (more than one character per second), the line stays hidden until about a second after I stop typing. Usually, although occasionally the line stays hidden even after the second passes. The line always re-appears if I mouse-click on a different line, or if I hit Print-Screen to try to get screen shots. I was able to get some delayed action screen shots that show the results.
In image 1, I need to add a semi-colon at the end of a line. In image 2, I have hit the semi-colon key, and the entire line disappears (and is replaced by the background color). In image 3, about a second has passed and the semi-colon (and remainder of the line) has re-appeared.
Initially I thought that this was an issue with my NVIDIA drivers, but the same behavior occurs when I run using my on-board Intel video chip. In the screenshots I have vwrapper installed but the issue occurs even after I uninstalled vwrapper and re-started. It occurs whether Smart Line Insert is enabled or notHas anyone seen this behavior and have any suggestions on how to resolve it?
