Having just recently discovered that the wonderful "Code Recommenders" project has been archived and it is starting to get difficult to install.

Content assist in the JDT is not the same without this project so it is really something that is hurting the maybe most well know feature of Eclipse.

This is a great loss so I'm curious to how one could go about to "resurrect" the project?

Currently it is listed in the Marketplace but cannot be installed as the update sites have been archived. It can still be installed by manually adding the archived update site:

Maintaining and supporting a project long term is a very large time commitment and time investment. Are you really prepared to personally (or your organization) to spend several person months getting the project up and running again as well as several person months per year forever to keep it alive? If so you should contact emo at eclipse.org to express your interest.
