Hi,
I'm trying to use eclipse -name <NAME> flag when I launch my Eclipse but for some reason it doesn't do any effect. I also check the window name with wmctrl -lx and it's the same.
However, during Eclipse loading (splash), wmctrl -lx does show the name I provided with -name but when GUI opens it changes back to Eclipse.
Anyone has an idea?

Thanks.

I think the title you see is generally coming from the product definition along with the preference value of General -> Workspace -> Show workspace name.

regarding the window title you are right. but I was talking about the application name which is also reflected in: wmctrl -lx
usually you'll see a column with Eclipse.Eclipse
