I am on the following:
Eclipse IDE for Java Developers
Version: Oxygen.3a Release (4.7.3a)
Build id: 20180405-1200

When I go to File>New - I don't have the option to create a new JavaScript Project. I see the option to create a new Java Project (and all the other options), but none for JavaScript. What am I missing? Hopefully something simple.

My intention is to begin using it with Protractor for automated testing, which I'm new at and just beginning/learning.

Thank you,
Lance

That's because Javascript is not Java so you haven't installed anything to support that. You might try the " Eclipse IDE for Web and JavaScript Developers" instead.

Windows 10
" Eclipse IDE for Web and JavaScript Developers" from file "eclipse-javascript-2020-12-R-win32-x86_64.zip" installed. Node.js installed. openjdk version "1.8.0_252" (corretto) installed.
I cannot find javascript project in File-New-Project
Also javascript absent in Preferences. Syntax isn't highlighted.
What's my problem?
