I had a version of Photon working on my Mac Mojave. Decided to upgrade to the latest version of Eclipse 2018-19.
Couldn't get the Arduino Downloads manager to work - the add board functionality wouldn't work.
Just to make sure, I reinstalled the OS with a complete disk cleanup.
I installed JDK 64-bt version - build 13+33.
Installed the latest version of Eclipse. Still have the same problem. When I click on add platform under Arduino Downloads manager, nothing happens.
My error log file says "No valid system for avr-gcc" when I try to add platform.
Also, on startup of Eclipse, error log has a warning entry "Enablement expression is missing for config provider for org.eclipse.cdt.arduino.core.descriptorType".
