Connection loss after uninstalling dhcpcd5 [message #1814745]

I am trying to install Kura on Raspberry pi 3B+ model,I followed the steps given in https://eclipse.github.io/kura/intro/raspberry-pi-quick-start.html and even made the ip address of pi static but after i do "sudo apt-get purge dhcpcd5", the connection is lost and the pi doesn't come live unless the sd card is formatted and installed with rasbian again.

What can I do to sort it out?
