Using TITAN for a LED game :) [message #1806440] Thu, 09 May 2019 03:05 Go to next message

Probably we have the most unusual way of using TITAN/TTCN-3 technology. In our case, the 'system under test' is an unpredictable component, called player :)

TITAN / TTCN-3 technology can handle any data on any communication protocol, and it can also control any electronic component.
Our demo is a LED game controlled by a single TTCN-3 testcase using one altstep.

We have two buttons to control the blue LED line at the bottom. The purpose of the game is to catch the yellow lights that are 'falling down' in the yellow LED columns.

The game is simple, but we think that our demo can prove that
- TITAN is fully reliable on Raspberry Pi, and it can be easily used with GPIO ports to control any electronic component
- one can use any communication channel, using an interface called a test port
- TITAN's timer handling is also highly accurate (obviously, timing is important if you make a game that involves catching something :)

This led game was created by Nóra Anna Mátrai and Balázs Supola

That's some serious, Skynet-level robotics you are displaying here, Balazs.
Thank you for your contribution.
