Hi-

I downloaded the file eclipse-java-kepler-SR1-win32-x86_64.zip. I unzipped it into the Program Files (x86) directory on my Windoze machine. When I executed eclipse.exe, the program began execution, but then it terminated with a message window which stated "An error has occurred. See the log file ...". I have attached the log file to this post.

When I deleted my installation and then installed Eclipse using the installer program eclipse-inst-win64.exe eclipse launches perfectly. This appears to be a different version of eclipse, however.

Note that the installer program would not install eclipse into the Program Files directory, which I suspect may be the exact issue. I did not investigate this...

Many thanks in advance!

-Steve

The Kepler build you were trying to use, with the not yet complete Java 12, is
over five years old. It likely didn't matter, but you were also unpacking it into
the directory for 32-bit applications. It's unclear what you're asking at this
point, but it's usually a good idea to keep them contemporary with each
other.
