Hello,
We are trying to migrate the Help contents of our Eclipse RCP v4.7 based application to the Remote server. We did so by deploying the Help HTMLs and other related files to the server and accessed it through the RCP application by linking the URL to the Help html files in the 'toc.xml' file.
But doing so, we are unable to perform Search activity present as a feature in the Eclipse Help contents.
To solve this issue, we are trying to setup an Eclipse Infocenter for our application, to access Help contents from the remote server.
Eclipse RCP version : Oxygen.3a Release (4.7.3a)
Server : Apache Tomcat v7.0.47
Although, we followed Eclipse Oxygen documentation, we are unable to get the infocenter up and running.
The procedure, format(JAR, WAR or extracted files) and location(directory in the Infocenter for help contents) to place the project specific Help Contents is not mentioned anywhere in the articles.
We followed the below mentioned article to setup the infocenter:
While following the above steps, we removed the references of org.apache.commons.el and org.apache.jasper JARs from the feature.xml of org.eclipse.help.infocenter-feature(available in org.eclipse.help.webapp JAR) as these references were throwing error while exporting the project as deployable feature. Also we are not using both of these plugins in our application.
Requesting here to please help us to setup the Infocenter or guide us a way to access Eclipse Help remotely from a server without affecting the Search feature.
