Iam using my own resource which is not of type XMI Resource. If I create Eobjects in Sirius diagram editor it is reflecting in Xtext editor but vice versa is not working .If I try to edit in Xtext editor Sirius diagram is lost. I feel my diagram is lost due to resource.

could anyone please help me in this.

Hi Sharmila,

Your diagram is lost because when you save your Xtext editor, it triggers a reload of the resouce by Sirius, by default Xtext recreates a new model graph and the object instances you saw on your diagram are replaced but not known by your editor. If you refresh your representation, regarding how you wrote the semantic candidates expression of your mapping, the new elements might be retrieved but the layout willbe lost, as it will recreate new graphical objects.

Did you look to the following resources:

- White Paper on Sirius nad Xtext: https://www.obeodesigner.com/resource/white-paper/WhitePaper_XtextSirius_EN.pdf
- Integrating Xtext and Sirius: Strategies and Pitfalls: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i_9S5aXAn40
- Xtext Editors within Sirius Diagrams the Best of both Worlds! https://www.nikostotz.de/blog/xtext-editors-within-sirius-diagrams/

There are differents strategies one of them could be to have an embedded editor (like proposed in https://github.com/ObeoNetwork/Xtext-Sirius-integration).
