Hello,
we would like to upgrade version of spring framework to a higher version than the one shipped with virgo 3.7.2. I found this FAQ: https://wiki.eclipse.org/Virgo/FAQ#How_can_I_change_the_version_of_Spring_framework_in_the_user_region.3F which unfortunately describes the steps for virgo 3.6.4 and also states that the described approach does not work in virgo 3.7.2.
Virgo 3.7.2 is shipped with spring version 4.3.9 which will be supported until 2020 therefore we are investigating on options how we can upgrade spring version. I already checked that there are OSGi bundles of spring jars provided by servicemix so that is not the limiting factor.
Any hints or links how this can be done will be very much appreciated. I would also appreciate any comments to what should we look for before/during the upgrade if someone already tried that.
