Generic JDBC Connections? [message #1800691] Sat, 05 January 2019 11:39
Eclipse UserFriend
Using my other IDE (IDEA), I can create a generic JDBC connection. I use this capability to connect to, among others, FileMaker Pro.

I don't see any way to create a new database connection using Eclipse with anything other than the list of connection types shown (Oracle, MySQL, etc.)

Can I create this "generic" connection, say for FileMaker Pro, in Eclipse? FileMaker has its own JDBC type IV driver.

Thanks very much in advance,
