I would like to provide an importer for the W3C Thing Description. Any hint on how to get started right now e.g. by taking a look at some sample code? Thanks!

Hi Christian,
That's great!
Vorto provides an importer for LwM2M/IPSO XML descriptions. You might wanna have a look at this importer as a reference for yours. You can find a description and the importer code here: https://github.com/eclipse/vorto/tree/development/repository/repository-importer
At the moment, importers can only run in embedded mode, meaning that they are part of the Vorto Repository. We are working on extending the Vorto Repository Plugin SDK so that importers can be provided as micro service plugin running in their own process and hook into the Repository. However, this will come next year, around Q2 2019.

Hope that helps to get you started. If you have any further queries, do not hesitate to reach out to us.

Cheers
