Eclipse IDE for C/C++ Developers

Version: Oxygen.3 Release (4.7.3)
Build id: 20180308-1800

Trying to report bug and getting this error:

...while trying to create task for reporting ...

Is that Eclipse foundation implementation of "catch 22"?

PS Update / upgrade is NOT an option !

Anne

I have followed your stream of problems, and never had even one of them using Eclipse versions since Ganymede.

A question:

Do you have read and understood the Eclipse Help parts:
- Workbench User Guide
- C/C++ Development User Guide?

Can you please elaborate why an obsolete version cannot be upgraded?

Please - either answer my concerns or not.
I do not wish to elaborate why I do not want to "upgrade" from Oxygen.
Some respect for privacy would be appreciated.

Here is clarification - why I cannot post a bug report in Oxygen #3 ?
It did same in Oxygen #3A hence why "upgrade " to #3A?

You can report problems directly using Bugzilla:

https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/

Of course bugs will be fixed only in the next release, i.e., one to which you apparently cannot upgrade for private reasons.

There is little we can do to your concerns, as long as you're actively hiding the details. With computers, the devil hides in the details.

If I were you I'd jettison Ubuntu 16.04 in favor of Ubuntu 18.04 LTS, and upgrade Eclipse to 2018-09.
