How can I help someone resolve "Plugin execution not covered by lifecycle configuration"? [message #1795362] Thu, 20 September 2018 18:46
Eclipse UserFriend
The biggest problem I have here is that it's not happening to me. There's a developer who works on the same project as I do, but he's getting errors like:
Plugin execution not covered by lifecycle configuration: org.apache.maven.plugins:maven-compiler-plugin:3.6.1:compile (execution: default-compile, phase: compile)

I did have him try to select the "Discover new connectors" option, but the steps in that resulting dialog are confusing. It's not really clear how to resolve the problem from that dialog. He showed me his desktop, but I didn't see anything obviously wrong.

What are some steps I can have him take to troubleshoot this?
