Hi,

I want to create a dialog for change the name of my Activity node. I created the instance for use and i defined the expression for the OK button and Group Page However, when I intented define the Set Operation for add 'var:newValue' in the Value Expression, the system doesn't suggest this expression (figure definitionDialog). If i insert 'var:instance' in the Value Expression, then I can change the name in the dialog (figureDialog), and the system will rename the Activity node with the name 'Activity'(figure result) but I dont want this name for the Activity node.

I attached in this post a figure of the metamodel

Hello,
It seems that it is a completion bug. Can you please fill a bug [1] ?
But you can use "var:newValue", it should work.

Hi Laurent,

Thanks for your fast answer. I done that you suggested me but didnt work. I attach in the post one photo with the error when I insert "var:newValue" [error]. One idea for the reason of the problem?

Hi,

Do you try to execute the "tool" with the dialog?
Indeed, the error.png seems to be a validation result dialog. The completion and the validation are linked. So, if the completion is KO, the validation will be KO too.

But at runtime, it should work.
