index.php/fa/32816/0/ I am using a MacBook Pro running High Sierra, version 10.13.4, Java, and Eclipse. I downloaded and installed the new version of pgAdmin, went into vi and at /etc/sysctl.conf received the message shown in the attached file. I have received this in the past and it evidently has given me no trouble. However, it might have something to do with the following.

Two day ago I downloaded and installed the new version of pgAdmin 4. I can bring up the Mac, enter and work with several apps, then bring up pgAdmin 4, which works fine. The second attached file shows that the url has 127.0.0.1.Then, if I close pgAdmin4, and then want to bring it back up, it refuses to come up. It is annoying, I have to restart the computer, then it will come up and works fine, but if I close it again, I cannot open it.

Would greatly appreciate a solution.

I have solved the problem by downloading PostgrrSQL and successfully installing it. Everything works fine now.

Solved the problem by downloading and successfully installing a new PostgreSQL. Everything works fine now. This solution was better than a restore of a backup.

Sorry to bother folks.
