Hello,

we are currently redesigning our Java Swing application to offer a more contemporary experience. A decision was made to use JavaFX and to gradually rework our Swing code.

Because this takes a lot of time we want to reuse most of our Swing code an implement this with help of SwingNodes.

Of course we have to keep testing our code continuously but our current test-framework (Silk4J) does not support JavaFX. We then decided to use Jubula (Client API), because it seems to fulfill most of our needs. We already verified that it is possible to test the Swing content in a SwingNode.

Because our application is already using JavaFX and utilizing SwingNodes, we have yet to manage to start an AUT, that is able to test JavaFX and Swing components.

Is it possible to test JavaFX and Swing in combination, because we have several JavaFx components that affect the content of our SwingNodes?

Best regards,
Jannick Herrmann

Hi,

it is not possible to test mixed applications with Jubula I'm afraid.

Best regards,
Alex

Hi,

thank you for your quick reply.

Do you know of any other tool or way to test such an application? We have already checked out several other tools, but none so far seem to support this.
