JDK 10.0.1, Unable to add JRE [message #1785877] Sat, 21 April 2018 19:39 Go to next message

Hi, I was unable to add JRE point to JDK 10.0.1 path. Error " Target is not a JDK root. System library was not found."

index.php/fa/32664/0/

But I managed to add using JRE 10.0.1. But the diff only no source and javadoc attachment which I require to use and study JDK provided objects and functions. Then I need to manually point to the sources and javadoc which available in JDK path.

index.php/fa/32665/0/

I just want the same working behaviour as JDK6-JDK9 which support both JRE and JDK (with auto resolve on sources and javadocs)

Java 9 and beyond, JRE/JDK does not contain jars like rt.jar so you can see only jrt-fs.jar.
If you are pointing to jdk you should be able to see java doc and source attachments.

To me this sounds like a broken JDK 10. @Azman, what exactly did you download / install in app\jdk10? In particular: does it contain lib\jrt-fs.jar? Perhaps some destributor repackaged it with an unexpected directory layout?
