How get I rid off annoying read-only-warning? [message #1785744] Thu, 19 April 2018 05:31
Eclipse UserFriend
Hello developer and user,

I am using Eclipse Mylyn Version Oxygen.1a Release (4.7.1a).
I have the annoying circumstance that each time if I want to edit a file and this is read-only on disc, I get the warning "File xx is read-only. Do you wish to make it writeable?", which I have to confirm.

I know, that this warning can be switched off under the file preferences, but this only refers to the current file in the editor.
I want this warning being suppressed "globally" and always, so that any file in any project, which I want to edit, does not popup this warning.
Does somebody know how to do that?

Sincerely,
Marco
